Ibis will be presenting one of his most important contributions to science to date: The '"Core Model", for Advancing Drug Discovery and Development for Unmet Medical Needs". The "Core Model" is an economic (and business) model that can be applied not only to drug discovery and development but for any business or economic human activity. Ibis believes that his model may explain how wealth is generated and how economic development and social/intellectual progress are achieved. This paradigm will soon be published as a chapter of a book on the "latest" approaches to drug discovery and development edited by Rathnam Chaguturu (Wiley & Sons, 2012).

Keynote speakers for this event include men of the stature of:

Stuart Schreiber, Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, U.S.A.
Lewis Cantley, Harvard Medical School, U.S.A.
Paul Workman, The Institute of Cancer Research, U.K.

And other thought leaders in this fascinating but difficult field.
